Be Well While Practicing Social Distancing

What a crazy time our world is experiencing right now. This is something that most if not all, have ever experienced before. It’s definitely strange and unprecedented. But I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that we are ALL in this together and this WILL pass. In the meantime, while we are waiting for time to pass (as quickly as possible) here is a list of things you can do to keep the mind and heart afloat—enjoy. Be safe and take of yourself. Remember, BE KIND!

20 Ideas to Make it Through COVID-19

1 Take walks. Try to keep a safe distance from folks, but move your body, breathe some fresh air. Take pictures or just pay attention to all the lovely things that are still around. It’s spring after all—we’ve got blossoms and bunnies galore out there.

2 Call or Facetime a friend.

3 Make a to-do list so you feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

4 Play an instrument you love. Heck, play an instrument you don’t love.

5 Create something: draw, paint, cook, write, cut up old magazines and make a collage.

6 Bake. Everything. Good.

7 Set routines for yourself. Make coffee every morning. Call your mom every night. Make meals. Meditate at 10am. Sing Head Shoulders Knees and Toes at 12:05pm and do the motions.

8 Do yoga.

9 Meditate and practice mindfulness.

10 Make up games. Wad up socks and make three-point contests. Create teeny tiny obstacle courses in your house. See who can fold laundry faster (also works during non-covid-times to get other household members to fold more laundry than you.)

11 Watch your favorite movie.

12 Read a book you love.

13 Read all the Harry Potter.

14 Learn a new skill from youtube or a friend (via facetime.) You can order craft supplies from Etsy and support small artists.

15 Listen to an audiobook (would also recommend Harry Potter)

16 Make a list of good things and add to it every day.

17 Take some time to be very still and quiet. Some of us go into a dark, quiet room for 5-10 minutes a day. Some of us listen to less music in the car. Give your mind a while to disengage.

18 Find ways to help people and small businesses you love.

19 Sing from your balcony like they did in Italy. (We all have balconies right?)

20 Open up your windows, let some fresh air and real light in.

BONUS Have a dance party in your house. All. Day. Long. Put on your favorite playlist and dance. Dance like no one is watching.
